Roald Dahl

Roald Dahl is an amazing children’s book writer who has written such stories as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, and James and the Giant Peach. He is a huge inspiration in my life, and I love to read his books because they are so creative and well written. He has the ability to take you places with his stories that appeal to children and adults alike. Dahl’s books have been made into many popular movies, which is why many people know of his work. He has written many many great books.
I picked Roald Dahl as my first entry because he is one of my favorite children’s book author and one of my favorite authors of all time. Dahl has the ability to make children and their parents laugh. Children will love his stories for the characters and adults will love him for the random references and hilarious plot development. It is hard to name my favorite of all of his outstanding stories but I would have to say I love Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator the most. This story picks up where Charlie and the Chocolate Factory left off. This book is very well written and intriguing. It takes you from space, to the factory, and even into the land of negatives. There are wonderful characters that you can root for and an amazingly terrifying monster.  If you have a couple of hours to kill and you want to smile, I would recommend reading a Roald Dahl book. I have included a link to the Roald Dahl website. On the website there is a list of his books, a biography, games, and much more! HAPPY READING!!!
